The System Should Cover the Following Training Objectives:

Study of basic principle of operation of a gear pump

Recording of pump characteristics

Investigation of relationship between head and speed

Influence of pressure limitation

Determination of efficiencies

Minimum Technical Specifications Required (like or better than):

Closed oil circuit

Needle valve for modifying the flow rate

Overflow valve for head adjustment

Should include sensors for temperature and pressure at inlet and outlet of the pump

Oval wheel meter act as flow sensor

Integrated microprocessor-based instrumentation

Gear pump with speed controlled drive its power consumption: 370W, nominal speed ranges from 100 to 750 rpm, maximum flow rate of 32cm³ per revolution and maximum head of 80m

Overflow valve: 0 to 5.5bar

2x Pressure sensors: one at inlet of measuring range -1 to 1bar and the other is at outlet of measuring range 0 to 5bar

Temperature sensor of measuring range: 0 to 100°C

Flow rate measuring range: 0 to 25L/min

Data acquisition unit with software with control functions

USB interface

PC Core i7, DVD+/-RW, 8GB RAM, 1TB Hard Disk Drive, Optical Mouse, Multimedia Keyboard, Monitor (21″) LED
